The Saint Florian Center Leadership Development Center & The Survive Alive, a fire and life safety program, teamed up to present the first annual fundraiser to benefit each not-for-profit organization. The proceeds enable us to continue to offer "low cost" and "no cost" quality, educational, life saving programs and activities for the children and citizens of Indianapolis.
The event was held at the historic Madame Walker Theatre on Saturday September 16, 2006. Kids and adults from all ages enjoyed the Kids Zone (Games area), the Silent Auction, and some tremendous talent from the youth. Talent categories included:
- Creative Expressions & Dance / Soloist & Musicians
The youth competed for cash and prizes that included media exposure, participation and category awards, and 2 hours of recording time from Middleton Music. Congratulations to our champions: Indy Lazers AllStarz Dance Troupe.

Over 300 youth attended "Action Speaks" 2006 in downtown Indianapolis which stressed the importance of using knowledge - Skills - & Talents to fight back against big tobacco companies. The High School youth created a commercial before a Colts home game to educate the community on the harmful effects of tobacco & how they refuse to be a target. Photos are coming!
